When a
topic for consideration is at the forefront of my thoughts and prayers, I
sometimes am moved by the Spirit and by the Holy Scriptures to recognize a
message that flows from the well source of both. Last week while on a walk
through a dirty little village here in east Africa I began to receive such a message.
Over the course of the next few days while studying scripture and in prayer,
more of the message began to come off the pages of my bible and the two came
together to form the message you see below. Over the years I have worked to
develop a discernment and have learned to test the Spirit to ensure that it is
indeed the Spirit of God who is speaking. I have also learned when to speak and
when to remain silent until He says when to speak any given message.
The job of
the prophetic is not to glorify the prophet or any man, with promises of worldly
possessions or riches. The prophetic is not to tickle ears for profit, gain or
any kind of advancement. The job of the prophetic is to bring correction, guidance,
hope, warning, rebuke and remedy in truth. The process of the prophetic is for
the glorification of God and the salvation of His people.
In the Old
Testament scriptures, we find testimonies of when the kingdoms of men are moved
to repentance by the word of the prophet and through such find blessing and
salvation in a return to God and His ways, such as in the case of Jonah and Nineveh
in the book of Jonah.
Sometimes
we find where people refuse to hear the words of the prophet and their refusal
leads to their demise, such as in the case of Jerimiah, Israel and Jerusalem in
the book of Jerimiah and in the book of 2nd Kings.
Sometimes
we see rulers purposefully surrounding themselves with false prophets because
they would rather hear lies that make them feel good instead of the truth that
shines a light on their wickedness and requires them to change. Such as in the
case of Ahab and Micaiah in the first book of the Kings.
1st
Kings 22: 7-8
And
Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides,
that we might enquire of him? And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat,
There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of
the Lord: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but
evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
Now the
Lord knows better than any other where He has me and what paths He is leading
me on with regards to the appointed ministry He has placed on my heart and in
my hands. He knows that with this, one Nation that occupies much of my thoughts
and prayers is the Nation of Yemen. Given this, I believe He has spoken a
message to me regarding this nation and that message is as follows.
A message for Yemen, a Warning to
the Houthi.
I have
heard the cry of the people of Yemen, the women for their children and the men
for their women and children. Not much longer will your suffering be prolonged
says the Lord God of Israel. I am moving against the evil that is causing your
suffering. I am moving against the principalities powers and rulers of darkness
of this world and the spiritual wickedness in high places. I am moving against
the scourge that is called the Houthi. By little and little will I drive them
out from before you. Not because they have come against the nation of Israel
but because they have come against my people in Yemen and have caused them
suffering, death and destruction. The Houthi have shed innocent blood and they
have defiled my land. In the name of their false god they have waged war
against my lost people of Yemen and my nature. Because they have caused my
innocent children to thirst and have contaminated my waters, their water shall
be contaminated and they shall thirst, because they have defiled the land and what
I have created for the people’s sustenance and caused my innocent children to
hunger, they shall hunger and die in hunger. They have kindled my anger, they
shall be devoured and many evils and troubles shall befall the Houthi. Absent
repentance, they shall be burnt with hunger and devoured with burning heat and
with burning destruction. All the weapons they have used for destruction will
be used against them, to free my people, avenge their sufferings and cause the
Houthi their own destruction. All of this will be done and many evils and
troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, are not these
evils come upon us, because our god is not among us? This will
I do so that the people of Yemen will know that I, Yehovah, the God of Israel
is their God and that they the people of Yemen are my people. If you come close
to me, and honor my ways, I will come close to you and bless you.
