There is No Safety in Numbers

There is No Safety in Numbers

“Human nature historically reveals mankind will accept upon his lusts to walk along the avenue that is contrary to God’s laws. Mankind, influenced by the lusts of the world, will seek justification to violate the commandments of God while simultaneously believing themselves to be saved by grace. This is delusional. It is written, ‘Thou shalt not tempt the lord thy God”. And, “Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils”. And, “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins”. This is a blatant rejection of Jesus, Yeshua the Christ child of Nazareth”. (Excerpt from “Why I choose to eat clean”. February 15, 2026)

As followers of the God of Abraham and Jesus of Nazareth, no matter where we travel to or what people group God puts us with, we are not called to blend in and adopt the ways of people who do not follow after our Father in heaven. We must remember the reason we were sent out. The scriptural evidence is that He sends us out to be a light in the darkness. We are called to make a difference for the good and to represent Kingdom culture where ever we go. We are sent to bring change, and to elevate his culture among the people he sends us to, not to descend and adopt the worldly cultures we may encounter.

Because human nature is the way it is, the desire to fit in or even be well liked and popular can be a detriment. This day and age, many people within western society are bewitched with a need to be relevant in the eyes of others, and known and celebrated by them. Many resort to exhibiting extreme debaucheries or even dangerous measures to increase their popularity. Some do this for accolades some for money many for both. This is not the call on the men and women of God. Our call is to live and speak the gospel of God to bring awareness of the commands of Jesus so that repentance for the remission of sin can be known.  Our call is to display the love of God and His righteousness, cleanliness and purity to those who otherwise do not know of it. In this we will raise the standards and quality of living where ever our feet may bare us. Consider the following.

Leviticus 20:22-24

22 Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.

23 And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the Lord your God, which have separated you from other people.

Leviticus 18:3-5

3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.

4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God.

5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord.

 Acts 5:29,32,39

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

Jerimiah 10:2

2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

 1Peter 4:1-2

1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

 Deuteronomy 18:9-13

9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

13 Thou shal Deut 18:9-13

9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God.

We, being born again, are no longer slaves to human nature. We are no longer natural man unable to see the things of God. The things of God are not foolishness to us but real and serious. Being born again gives us the ability to judge spiritually. If we revert back to soulish behaviors and adopt those of others. We risk losing our own souls. People often lose sight of the fact that when it comes to exercising behaviors that are contrary to God, no matter how many are doing it, there is no safety in numbers.  You can hide your backsliding and sins from man but there is no hiding from God. Even with man, eventually, all things get revealed. God does not do this to His children out of spite or condemnation, but out of love and a deep desire to see us set free from sin, win the race set before us and rest in His love peace and gentle mercies. And, further, to help others to do so as well. Think on these things.

Luke 12:2-4

2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

Proverbs 15:3

3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Psalm 33:12-15

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

Psalm 139:1-3

1 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

Hebrews 4:13-14

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Luke 16:13-15

13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

God is omnipotent and omnipresent. Whether it be for chastening or destruction there is no hiding from Him. To His children there is no hiding from His love and rewards, for He is also all loving, righteous and protective and He provides a multitude of places to find shelter and protection in Him. Here are a few examples.

Proverb 18:1

10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Ruth 2:12

12 The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.

Psalm 91:2-9

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

Yes, when it comes all matters in this life, with God, you just can’t blend in and become lost in the crowds. When it comes to disobedience to God, there is no safety in numbers. Remember the following always.

Matthew 7:13-14

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Remember this too.

Hebrews 11:6

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

This house is a house of God. We are a people diligently seeking His face. It is no mystery; it is no secret.  We are a scripturally centered outreach ministry. Our call has been and will continue to be, to take the lessons He has taught us by the indwelling of the word and His Holy Spirit, out from the house to effectuate positive change where ever He may send us. We are called to go into the world and support Godly changes as he sees fit, and where He sees fit to place us. We are to be a harbinger of the arrival of the kingdom of heaven. And we are to do it without fear and shame. This is important to remember. We are called to make changes in the world to God’s liking, without allowing the world to make changes in us to its liking. We are not slaves to fear and we are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ Jesus. Shame can be a powerful tool used by the enemy to establish roadblocks in our path. Do not be ashamed to work to change long standing beliefs and cultures. In the kingdom of heaven there is only one culture allowed and it is not born out of the history and habits of men. The work to bring change is His works. The authority to pursue these works is given to you by Him. With miracles signs and wonders following, and in the face of opposition, remember, the works are by He who sends you and you are the other half of that equation. Do not be ashamed.

Shame:

: a painful emotion caused by consciousness of guilt, shortcoming, or impropriety

: the susceptibility to such emotion

: a condition of humiliating disgrace or disrepute : ignominy

Ignominy:

: deep personal humiliation and disgrace

: disgraceful or dishonorable conduct, quality, or action

Obviously, shame in and of itself is not bad it can be a regulator for correction in righteousness. It is an emotional usher that when we stray, leads us back to our seat in heavenly places, where when with Christ Jesus there is no more condemnation. I come against the ploy of devils who today are trying to shame the workers of God into paralysis. I come against the tongues calling morality, truth and righteousness a disgrace. The shame the world spews in the direction of workers of righteousness is a projection of the emotion they are overwhelmed by, as they struggle to come to terms with their own unrighteousness. One cannot avoid shame as they seek to promote, protect and defend iniquity.

Romans 1:16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 10:11

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

1Peter 4:16

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

Men and women of God continuously seek to remain above reproach. They are seekers desirous to be consistently in communication with the kingdom of heaven through prayer and meditating on the word of God. Men and women of God are introspective and on guard against allowing sin and corruption to rule in their lives. We tend to be more loving, forgiving and accepting of dealing with persecutions and abuses heaped upon us by the world and the worldly. However, we are not push overs, like our Lord and Savior we are warriors, mighty in God. Yet, if we are not careful and prudent and we do not temper these traits with the word of God, we can open ourselves up to a myriad of problems, both minor and major, that could have otherwise been completely avoided.

As a word of caution, a big-hearted Christian can suffer greatly due to zeal without knowledge. Today, more than ever it is important to seek the Holy Spirit for comfort and guidance especially as he sends you out into the world. Be the change He wants to see. There is none to decide your place in eternity. That decision rests in your hands and the hands of your Father in heaven.

Blessings!
